Program Details
The Period of Purple CryingSalem Hospital Foundation, Polk County Period of Purple is an evidence-based prevention program designed to prevent shaken baby syndrome (SBS). The program assists infant caretakers in understanding infant crying and taking appropriate steps to deal with the personal frustration evoked by a crying infant. This program is a collaboration of four county regions and includes a significant outreach effort to educate the community about SBS thereby reducing its incidence. For More Information: |
