We expect all prevention projects to participate in a formal evaluation process while receiving a grant from the Children's Trust Fund of Oregon. Our evaluation process consists of two primary tools:
- site visits, and
- formal structured instruments delivered to our third party evaluator.
Evaluation is important for several reasons. For the Children's Trust Fund, evaluation gives us a way to monitor the progress each of our grantees is making in serving local families and the evaluations help to ensure monies given to the Trust Fund are used in effective and responsive prevention programs throughout Oregon. We also take information from these evaluations to determine types of programs that would be useful to replicate in other parts of the state. For our grantees, the evaluation process can help them evaluate their service objectives and provide a quality assurance mechanism to determine the success of their programs. The Trust Fund is also able to help guide new programs in establishing evaluation tools. For our donors, you can be assured that your donations are respected and used effectively to help Oregon families create a safer and healthier environment for raising children.
Listed at right are evaluation forms you will be using throughout the grant cycle. For your convenience, they are available both in PDF and in Word format. Please download whichever is more convenient for you, or contact the Trust Fund if you are unable to print either of these.
Note: In order to view and print PDF files, you need to have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.
The Childrens Trust Fund contracts with an independent, third party evaluator for our grantees. Our current lead evaluator is Mindy Ing, an associate of the Child Welfare Partnership with Portland State University.
